“Jilliann’s vocal flexibility allows her to take on repertoire from any period or genre and bring it to life with great vocal beauty. She is well informed in the area of historical performance practice and moves intuitively and easily through various periods of music history, always delivering a performance that is historically accurate, engaging, and adhering to the very highest standards of musicianship.”

— Dr. Robert Lehman, Choir Master, the Church of St. Michael and St. George, St. Louis, MO

Law Studio of Music began in 2007 when several of the students where I was teaching full time expressed interest in private lessons. It has grown and evolved over the years and I have taken different posts as a Vocal/Choral/Piano instructor.

As time went on I realized that the most fun I have as a teacher and a musician is in one-on-one lessons with private students. Nothing is more rewarding than helping a student reach their personal goals.

I have a mix of school-aged and adult students. In our lessons we cover any style of music that you could think of. Nothing is off the table (except maybe yodeling—but even then, I’ll try!).

My students have different reasons for taking lessons. For many, it is simply because they love to sing or want to learn to play the piano, and scheduling a lesson ensures that they will make the time each week. Some students are working toward an audition, or want to achieve a level of ability that allows them to play or sing their favorite song. For everyone, we focus on healthy technique, reading music, and style.
